KATHMANDU, DEC 10 - A fire that broke out at an autoclinic in Bouddha's Pipalbot on Wednesday morning resulted in the complete destruction of two microbuses and partial damage of two cars.The fire broke out at the back of the vehicle as it was being started. The fire, which broke out at 5 a.m was finally brought under control by the combined efforts of the police and fire brigade at 6:15 a.m. According to police, while there was no loss of life, two nearby microbuses had been completely destroyed, while two cars had also been considerably damaged. The loss of property is yet to be calculated.
Similarly, property worth Rs. 89,000 was damaged by a fire at Namaste Colony in Sukedhara on Tuesday. The fire started when a pile of hay that was placed on the roof of a hut on land belonging to Debendra Pandey, caught fire.
Investigations are ongoing in both cases.
